New Delhi: A controversial tweet of Congress chief Rahul Gandhi with an image of him assembly the members of the family of a nine-year-old Dalit lady who died in Delhi following an alleged sexual assault confirmed as “now not out there” on the microblogging web site for violating its guidelines.
Posting an image of his assembly with the lady’s household on Wednesday, Gandhi had tweeted in Hindi: “Dad and mom’ tears are saying just one factor — their daughter, the daughter of this nation, deserves justice. And I’m with them on this path to justice.”
A click on on the tweet led to a message that learn: “This tweet violated the Twitter guidelines.”
The Nationwide Fee for Safety of Baby Rights (NCPCR) had requested the Delhi Police and Twitter on Wednesday to take motion over Gandhi posting the photograph of the lady’s household on the microblogging web site, saying it violates the Juvenile Justice Act and the Safety of Youngsters from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Gandhi had met the lady’s members of the family on Wednesday and the Congress chief asserted that he’s with them on the trail to justice and ‘won’t again down even an inch’.
