The Border Roads Organisation has constructed the world’s highest highway in jap Ladakh at an altitude of 19,300 toes, the federal government stated in an announcement right now. The highway has been constructed at an altitude increased than the Mount Everest base camps – the south base camp in Nepal is at an altitude of 17,598 toes, whereas the north base camp in Tibet is at 16,900 toes.

The highway now connects the necessary cities in Chumar sector of jap Ladakh. “It can show to be a boon to the native inhabitants because it presents an alternate direct route connecting Chisumle and Demchok from Leh. It can improve the socio-economic situation and promote tourism in Ladakh,” the federal government stated.
Khardung La Move in Ladakh can also be one of many world’s highest roads at practically 17,600 toes.
